Samen de circulaire economie versnellen

For english : C-Recycle: Innovation and Education in Chemical Recycling

C-Recycle, the Centre for Chemical Recycling Education and Research, is a groundbreaking project focused on the transition from a linear to a circular chemical industry in the West Brabant region. Funded by the Just Transition Fund (JTF), this initiative combines innovative chemical recycling technologies with extensive education and training programs to contribute to a sustainable future.

Our Mission
Through C-Recycle, we aim to strengthen the regional chemical sector by training both professionals and students in the latest chemical recycling technologies. With hands-on research, collaboration between companies and knowledge institutions, and on-the-job training (OJT), we are shaping a new generation of experts in chemical recycling. In addition, we focus on raising awareness and acceptance of chemical recycling within businesses and the general public.

What We Offer

For Businesses: Direct access to the latest chemical recycling technologies, such as pyrolysis and solvolysis, through collaborations with top institutions and laboratories. Companies benefit from a trained workforce and can participate in exclusive networking events and conferences. We also support start-ups with workshops, pitch competitions, and guidance in business plan development.

For Students and Teachers: A refreshed curriculum that integrates the latest innovations in chemical recycling, with a focus on technology and sustainability. Students gain on-the-job training and participate in research projects in laboratories, preparing them for a career in green chemistry. Teachers and job seekers can join specialized training programs and research projects to enhance their knowledge and skills.

The Campus Bergen op Zoom will take care of the following activities in this project:

1) The location for a co-creation pilot plant with facilities for research and education.

2) The location and reception of groups of companies, students and residents, with the aim of spreading more awareness about the transition from a linear to a circular economy.

3) We will host meetings for primary and secondary education, also with the aim of spreading awareness and knowledge about the transition from a linear to a circular economy.

4) We will organize 15 network events for local companies reporting on the entire value chain (raw material, process, application) entrepreneurs with technological developments in the field of chemical recycling.
