Deloitte: Biobased Delta globally competitive to valorize sugars into biobased chemicals
June 4 2015 saw the presentation of a Deloitte study at the Green Chemistry Campus that was commissioned by the Biobased Delta. The study shows that the Biobased Delta is a globally competitive region to valorize sugars into biobased chemicals. The Green Chemistry Campus is one of the top locations in the Biobased Delta.

BioTorTech starts partnership to realize biobased demonstration plant
Recently, BioValGroup (BVG) and Tebodin, part of Bilfinger Group, have signed a contract for the provision of engineering services to a semi-commercial demonstration plant, in which biomass residual streams will produce cleaner fuels for the energy sector and high-grade fertilizer.

New business development manager: Peter van der Ham
The Green Chemistry Campus has welcomed a new business development manager: Peter van der Ham. With Peter the Campus has attracted an experienced professional that can boast of many years of experience in the field of sustainable chemistry. Through his work for DSM and SABIC he knows the chemical sector from within and he is familiar with the present chances and challenges. The last couple of years Peter has been responsible for the development of projects around sustainable performance chemicals.

Biorizon utilizes municipal waste to develop biobased aromatics
Every year, Dutch households collectively produce over 5 million tons of municipal waste. Biorizon-partner TNO, together with Attero, AEB Amsterdam, Orgaworld and the Dutch Waste Management Association (DWMA) investigates how carbohydrates (sugars) in municipal waste streams can be used as a source for the production of biobased aromatics.
