New business development manager: Peter van der Ham
The Green Chemistry Campus has welcomed a new business development manager: Peter van der Ham. With Peter the Campus has attracted an experienced professional that can boast of many years of experience in the field of sustainable chemistry. Through his work for DSM and SABIC he knows the chemical sector from within and he is familiar with the present chances and challenges. The last couple of years Peter has been responsible for the development of projects around sustainable performance chemicals.
For the Campus, Peter will be responsible for attracting new tenants. His focus will lie on a mix of innovative start-ups, research institutes and knowledge institutions, plus large companies that want to expand their process via a demo plant. Content wise, the focus lies on innovative companies that valorize sugars and lignin into performance chemical building blocks for the chemical industry.
Accelerate Biobased Success
Biobased entrepreneurs that decide to establish themselves on the Green Chemistry Campus, will accelerate their biobased business success. At the Campus they will find world-class laboratories and excellent facilities in a thriving eco system where market pull, biomass and innovation meet. The Campus, located on the premises of SABIC in Bergen op Zoom, is part of the Biobased Delta. Nowhere in the world a region is as suitable as the Biobased Delta for valorizing sugars into chemical building blocks for the chemical industry. Biomass is widely available, the logistic connections are excellent and the market is close by because the region is part of the largest chemical cluster of the world.
